What does the Kansas State University Research and Extension Adult Development and Aging office do?

We are committed to the provision of information to enhance quality of life for Kansans. We develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs to assist individuals and Kansas communities with issues related to aging.

Why the focus on aging?

Approximately 13% of Americans are currently age 65 or older. By 2030 almost 20% of Americans will be older adults. With this rapid growth, it makes sense to provide targeted information, services, and education to older adults and their families.

What is available to me on this site?

Calendar - - Our calendar provides information on upcoming events related to aging. You can find local events in your Kansas community, as well as conferences occurring all over the world. Seminars available online are also included. Check back often for new events.

News Room - - The newsroom offers articles and radio interviews provided by the Adult Development and Aging office on many issues related to getting older.

Programs - - The programs page highlights educational events and offerings developed by or sponsored by Kansas State University Research and Extension. Programs range from learning how to balance work demands with our personal lives to understanding how to plan for our futures as we age.
